Before you start

This service is for businesses, not individuals, and is only available if you have met the requirements at the Expression of Interest stage and have been formally invited to make an application.

To be eligible, the application must meet the following criteria:

  • The amount of grant requested must be a minimum of £1 million
  • The application must be from a private organisation
  • The proposed project must be a commercial activity
  • Government involvement must be small in relation to the overall private investment
  • The amount of grant requested must be the minimum required
  • The grant requested must be funding of last resort
  • The application and project must comply with UK Subsidy Control measures.
